1. Data we collect and how we get it

PitRivals operates on an explicit consent model (Opt-In). We do not scrape public data. By registering, logging in, or connecting accounts via our official OAuth integrations, you authorize us to access:

• Basic iRacing Identifiers: Your iRacing Customer ID and Pilot Name (Display Name).
• Driving Stats: Your iRating, Safety Rating, license class, and number of races.
• Race Results: Information about your official races (finish position, incidents, SOF, etc.).
• Connected Social Accounts: If you choose to link your Discord or Twitch accounts, we collect your external ID, username, email address, and avatar URL.

2. Data Usage

We use this information exclusively to:

• Generate activity walls and collective stats for the Pits you join.
• Calculate internal and global rankings based on your real track performance.
• Keep your session active on the platform.
• Display your connected social handles and synchronize your profile avatars on your public Driver Profile.

3. Email Communications & Notifications

By registering a verified email address, you agree to receive communications from PitRivals. We divide these communications into two strict categories to respect your inbox:

• System & Operational Emails (Mandatory): These are vital for your account's health. We will notify you if your iRacing OAuth token expires or if there is a critical sync failure preventing your race data from being processed. You will receive these as long as your account is active, regardless of your notification preferences.
• Community & Product Updates (Opt-In): Emails related to your Pit activity (such as new affiliation requests) or product changelogs. You have total control over these and can disable them at any time from your Account Settings.

We will never sell or lease your email address to third parties.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

You can request the complete deletion of your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon doing so:

• Your access tokens, social connections, and any personal information will be permanently removed from our servers within 24 hours.
• You will automatically leave all Pits you belonged to.
• Leaderboard Integrity: To preserve competitive history, your name in all archived leaderboards and rankings (both global and series) will be anonymized to "Deleted User".

5. Third-Party Sharing

We do not share, sell, or lease your personal data to third-party advertising companies. However, if you join a Pit that has enabled a Discord Webhook Integration, certain public race achievements (wins, podiums, clean races, or license promotions) will be published directly to that Pit's Discord server as part of the team's activity feed.
